About Us

Oceanfront Ceramics is a collaboration between Coastal Blooms and the Coquille Art Association, bringing community-centered ceramic classes to Oregon’s south coast. Together, we create a space where creativity, nature, and hands-on learning come together—rooted in the landscape that inspires so much of our work.
The studio is the result of years of development, experimentation, and steady growth. What began as a personal practice in clay has evolved into a shared space dedicated to teaching, making, and connecting people through clay. Every class reflects a long-standing commitment to both craft and community.
With formal ceramics training beginning in 2004 at Hillsboro Community College, followed by decades of continued study, studio practice, and teaching, the foundation of this work is deeply rooted in both education and experience. Over the years, that knowledge has grown alongside a passion for coastal-inspired forms, functional design, and accessible art education.
This studio in Bandon, Oregon has been years in the making—not just as a physical space, but as a vision shaped over time. It is built on the belief that working with clay is both grounding and transformative, and that everyone benefits from having access to creative practice.
We are proud to offer a place where people can slow down, make with their hands, and be part of a growing creative community on the coast.
